StickyPen.com, the gay erotic fiction archive, has announced the winner for its cowboy-themed fiction contest in honor of Raging Stallions Studios’ hit film, To The Last Man.

Since March, members of the site have been able to submit their steamiest piece of cowboy erotica for consideration in the contest. The winner was announced yesterday on the site as bardnc for his submission, Real Cowboys in Cowboy Country.

“The decision was difficult,” admits Clarke, the site’s administrator. “All of the submissions were great reads. But someone had to be a winner and I think bardnc’s story deserves top honors.”

He will receive the autographed copy of the To The Last Man coffee table book, shot by renowned photographer Bruno Gmunder, offered up as first prize. The authors of the other entries will receive 30 free minutes in the Sticky Pen VOD theater.

“This was our first contest and it was a complete success,” Clarke adds. “I want to thank everyone who wrote, read or voted on the contest stories. Without them, it wouldn’t have been possible!”

Raging Stallion Studios‘ To The Last Man is a gripping tale of love and passion, ranch style. It features an all-star cast that includes Ricky Sinz, RJ Danvers, Scott Tanner and Logan McCree. The critically acclaimed feature was the 2009 XBIZ winner for Best Director and Best Picture and won an impressive 18 GAYVN Awards at this year’s show.

…These were “real cowboys” all over the bar. I had talked with no one but had viewed everyone.  The bartender would occasionally ask a question, always knowing the answer before he asked.  “You from out of town?”  “You ever been here before?”  “You want some of Maxine’s chili?”

At first I thought I was imagining it, but as I drank more beer, I was sure he was relaying this sparse information to a real-looking, real-good-looking cowboy down at the other end of the bar.  When I could check him out without being too obvious, I was pretty impressed with the image of an outdoorsman with a bit of weathered face, a bit older than me, with the build and look of a man who worked hard and had the body to show for it.  I was convinced that this was probably the real-life image of a cowboy, the vision that I had been wanting to see.  I stared at him a lot, but made sure that my looking could not really be called cruising because, as the taxi driver said, this “ain’t a gay bar” and there was no indication that any of the patrons were.

When I finally felt that I had had enough of the “local color” and enough beer, I swiveled off the stool, did a perfunctory “Good night” to the bartender and to no one else in particular, and ambled toward the door.  The real cowboy was headed for the door at the same time, and he held it open for me.  “You coming?” he asked good naturedly in a velvety baritone voice.  I smiled my thanks and we both departed the bar.

I scanned the street for a taxi, but the velvet voice behind me simply said, “This way” and I fell into step with him.  Small talk.  “Brrrr, chilly!”  “Smoky in there, wadn’t it?”  “Singer was not very good, was he?” And other similar one-liners that he asked. I could not think of anything really to ask.  What I wanted to ask was, “Are you a real cowboy?” and “Where are you taking me?” but kept my mouth shut and trotted alongside this beautiful stud in tight jeans and plaid shirt. Overall, he looked authentic western and my outfit looked like it was from Macy’s.  Which it was.

“Here we are” he said as we came upon a Best Western motel.  We’re going up to the fifth floor” he said, and though he had never invited me, it was certainly understood that I was his intended guest.  How more fkn appropriate could you get? I smiled to myself, than a friggin’ Best “Western” hotel.  As we got into the elevator, which now provided the most lighting for seeing him that I had had all evening, my legs went to jelly.  The guy was ruggedly handsome with blue-grey eyes that made direct eye contact with me and …
