It was only a matter of time before our current pop cultural obsession with vampires made the leap to gay porn. As far as a genre goes, it’s well known for its homoerotic groundings, and I’m surprised it’s taken this long for studios to start and monopolize on a very popular and easily adaptable subject matter.

Other than their film Gay Sex And The City, twink studio Boy Crush usually keep their content to straight-forward, non-storyline gay porn. But they’re the first studio I’ve seen really make a decent go of the vampire adult movie with their new pastiche of HBO property, True Blood.

Appropriately named Twink Blood, it’s a much better springboard for porn than the upcoming Twilight porn adaptations. True Blood is, after all, a very sexual show, whereas Twilight is so devoid of sexuality it hard counts as part of the vampire genre at all.

The spoof follows the adventures of eighteen-year-old Miles Pride, who has decided to move to Phoenix to start his first year of college. He settles in, adjusts to the burning heat and the frigid nights, and finds that more than just the cold penetrates the City of the Sun when that sun goes down. So it’s a bit of a change from the balmy climes of Louisiana, as in the TV series, but obviously that concept of heat contrasting with the cold skin of the mythological subject matter is shared here.

So we follow Miles as he risks everything to discover the truth behind the vampire attacks and the twist that turns his life upside down. Touted as “edge of your seat drama and incredibly hot sex,” I probably wouldn’t go as far as saying this is landmark plot play but director Bryan Kenny has made a very fare effort and big step-up for Boy Crush Studios’ first action flick. As far as the industry’s first twink vampire adult film, this has got real cred.

Chase Harding and Patrick Kennedy make for a terrific opener. Their encounter takes place after they leave “Club Forbidden” – a replacement for “Fangtasia” in the TV show from what I can tell. After the human twink is lured into a dungeon-type room he’s glamored (hypnotized) by his captor into participating in some kinky foreplay. Really yummy anal ensues including a fantastically filmed reverse cowgirl among the multiple positions that the hot young things get themselves into.

But it’s the closing scene with Chase, Miles Pride, Felix Russo and Andy Kay that’ll really get twink fans excited. The orgy contains a real bondage feel to it and contains one very cool anal daisy chain, along with some collar and leash play and some rough deep throating.

It’s a great change of pace for the studio all up, the cast all look like they’re having a ball in the sex scenes and the set-up for them, and the guys are all very cute. Check this one out, it’s probably going to be one of the best of a massive batch over the next six months.
